Since 1963, this small unique California zoo has been providing sanctuary to some very special animals. All are non-releasable. Many were raised, and rejected, as wild pets. Others were injured or orphaned in the wild. Most are native to North America. All have names and personalities, and their individual stories are posted at the exhibits, along with factual, up-to-date information about their species.

We wish to thank you for the presentation with your "critters" during our Home School Week. As promised in your promotion, all students were entertained with your animals and information. Your program is in keeping with the goal of education to develop an enlightened and educated youth in regard to the animals of our planet. Students and parents alike enjoyed the opportunity your program provided to learn about our planet's lesser known animals. These animals became more familiar to them in your relaxed but safe environment, especially the ball python! Snakes for many parents are intimidating.
